A tribute to the place where men are made...yeah right!!!

Alright the title wasn't actually very clear on what exactly this is a tribute to. I apologies. This is a tribute to the CCF and my career in it. The CCF, a place where men are meant to be made, where teamwork and leadership are nurtured and where most importantly they teach you how to shoot and fight!!! This is my memories of the CCF...My first annual camp...Man there is nothing like going out onto a tank training ground and climbing onto the shell of a Challenger MK1, man it reminded me so much of those propaganda footages where a section are setting onto of a bombed out tank smiles in their faces before getting shot shitless. Which in theory, is what happened after the picture we went straight into an exercise. As you all know the first time you fire blanks is like an all you can eat buffet (sorry of the analogy) am a bit hungry while writing this...anyway...so...yeah basically its was great fun...Ranger was in change of everything so things went smoothly. Ever seen Andrew totally lost on a a night ex??? Well the "mighty" guy had to follow my trail around a not too difficult course!!! anyway that was the boring bits of CCF...onto the good bits...


...NESCLIFF!!!!...now that was a place an a half...recommend you lot go on it...ever been in a company attack?? 3 straight platoons going head to head with real army man, full 30 round mags, and everything done the proper infantry way, plus very few shitheads like Joe and Andrew, everyone there knows their shit. Plus for u guys who have never seen it, contrary to popular belief there ARE fit ACF girls...and for all those perverts out there...I am talking to you burke, girls in uniform and doing PT stretches are a sight to behold..anyway...so basically if you talk, lead and most importantly learn, that course will do wonders for your soldiering and is a great break from all the clueless CCF officers we have.

...February Camp 05...I would advise all you do a camp as a training section leader. It works wonders on you sense of humbleness. Makes you learn that leadership isn't just about the rank and lording over people (although that is fun). But more about looking after them as you would a brother or a friend BUT getting the shit that needs to be done, done!! Even if it means group punishments. Oh yeah that's another thing group punishments works wonders for group discipline. Basically familiarise yourself with the plank position (when your fore arm is flat on the floor, and the rest of your body is in the press up position). When one person in the group is pissing around get everyone else to do it. If you have to teach them drill, get one of the friends of the troublemaker and get him into the plank make him stay there till the troublemaker does drill properly. Anyway...back to the fun stuff last night man amit u are one poor drinker got pissed and climbed into bed with bermy...dnt bother lying I have pictures!!!LOL...anway...so yeah damn that was a fun time...my brother pissed on 2 ices, and then the nazi and bermy trying to sing stacy's mum!!!LOL...plus the whole alex conversation about his girlfriend anyway...so yeah...word of advice amit dnt climb into the same bed as bermy...might get fagbashed again!!!

...right annual inspection...Joe will forever immortalised for doing things twice!!! after all once is never good enough for joe!!! well never mind I looked shit hot anyway and the guard were good pity about the commander!!!

Well that concludes my reminiscing, now for some words of wisdom. Kinda wished I could have taught u guys the proper way to do stuff, like feb 04 man my section went for clueless to decent in one night...well by our CCF standard they were amazing pity about Andrew fucking up and getting my whole fire team killed. Damn stupid couldn't even find the damn enemy so what does he do charge right across our 2nd fire team's field of fire as well as the enemy's!!!!
I do wished I could have trained you lot. You guys do deserve a lot more than some shitty CO who doesn't even know the difference between a platoon commander and a platoon sergeant (not even that one was an officer and one was a sergeant!!!). It would have be great to have a shit hot section and taken you guys on proper infantry attacks and competitions. But all in all CCF with you lot was great fun. I wish you guys all the best in future endeavours. Just remember SEMPER FIDELIS….NOW GIVE ME A HOO-AH
